ABOUT MOBIUS SOLUTIONS

We built the company we wish had existed.

An advisory firm founded on three decades of uncovering the waste that organizations cannot see from the inside.

The Problem We Saw First

Every organization believes it knows where its money goes.

Purchase requisitions get raised, approvals get signed, vendors get paid, and the cycle continues. What rarely gets questioned is whether any of it should have happened in the first place.

Across the Caribbean and in emerging markets worldwide, billions of dollars leave organizations each year through vendor influence, unoptimized procurement, and spending patterns that no one has challenged in decades. Not because people are dishonest, but because the processes designed to catch waste were never built to keep up with it.

Vendors become embedded. Relationships go unquestioned. Emergency requests bypass review. License renewals get approved for 300 users when only nine have logged in during the past quarter. And with every unchallenged transaction, the gap between what organizations spend and what they should spend grows wider.

Mobius Solutions was founded to close that gap.

Why Mobius Exists

Born from what the numbers revealed.

Shiva Ramnarine spent three decades inside the finance functions of organizations ranging from Nortel and Canadian Tire to Caribbean Airlines, Digicel, Cable & Wireless, and the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago. Across each of those roles, Ramnarine encountered the same pattern.

Companies facing financial pressure would move to cut headcount before anyone examined whether vendor contracts, procurement workflows, or maintenance spending were functioning as intended. Cost reduction defaulted to layoffs while millions in recoverable waste sat untouched inside operational budgets.

Ramnarine founded Mobius to bring that same discipline to organizations that lack the internal capacity or objectivity to find those savings on their own. The firm exists because the gap between what companies spend and what they need to spend is almost always larger than anyone inside the organization is willing to admit.

Our Approach

Governance, not surveillance.

Mobius does not install monitoring tools and walk away. The firm's approach targets the specific points in procurement and operational workflows where spending decisions go unchallenged.

Between the moment someone raises a purchase requisition and the moment it gets approved, there is an opportunity to ask objective questions. Did this vendor perform the same service last month? Should the work still be under warranty? Is this the only supplier available, or has a long-standing relationship narrowed the field artificially? Are you actually saving 25% next year, or are you paying 25% more and calling it a discount?

These are questions that experienced finance leaders ask instinctively. Mobius builds them into the process itself, through AI-powered analytics, independent review committees, or a combination of both. The goal is to remove the personal friction that comes with challenging a colleague's vendor relationship and replace it with a governance layer that asks the hard questions automatically.

When the system flags a concern rather than a person, the politics disappear.

What remains is a clear, objective assessment of whether a transaction makes sense

Built for Where We Work

Caribbean roots. International perspective.

Mobius is headquartered in Trinidad and Tobago, and the firm's leadership team has deep operational experience across the Caribbean, Latin America, and North America. That regional grounding is intentional.

The IMF has repeatedly observed that developing nations and their state-owned enterprises overspend on repairs, maintenance, and vendor services to such a degree that capital available for infrastructure investment gets consumed entirely. Governments and companies in these markets cannot upgrade their water systems, replace aging fleets, or modernize their networks because current operational spending absorbs every available dollar.

Mobius understands these environments because the team has worked inside them. The firm does not offer generic frameworks imported from markets with different constraints. Every engagement starts with the spending patterns, vendor dynamics, and governance realities specific to the client and the region.

That commitment extends beyond advisory work. Founder Shiva Ramnarine established the FIFO Foundation, a registered charity that partners with schools to deliver food hampers to families living below the poverty line. Every dollar goes directly into groceries, with no overhead and all volunteer labor. The principle is the same one that guides the firm. Find resources being lost to waste and redirect them to where they create value.

Warm Gradient Background

See where your organization is overspending.

Most businesses carry 10 to 15 percent in recoverable waste inside their current operational budgets. Mobius can help you find it.
